Is Reverse Osmosis legal in all cases ?
Yes, it is for beers, carbonated or non carbonated soft-drinks and for table water. For so-called “mineral” or “spring” water in some countries, local regulation may impose that the original mineral content of the water remains unchanged. In that case, reverse osmosis may not be used. A bottler using spring or mineral water to produce a soft-drink may not use those words on the label if a reverse osmosis system has been used.
