Is renting a moving van just like renting a car?
In many ways, the rules that apply when you rent a car are the same as when you rent renting a moving van or truck. In order to avoid extra charges, keep the moving van clean, ensure that there is no damage such as scratches or dents, and fill up the gas tank prior to returning the vehicle. Also, reserve ahead, to ensure that the size of moving van that you want is actually available, even as short-term as reserving the day prior to the actual rental. When it comes to insurance, again consider what you are used to driving. It may make more sense to take the insurance, versus the rates on your car insurance going up because you backed into a concrete wall because you were not used to the dimensions of the rental truck.
