Is religion just something made up to control the masses?
It’s not just to control the masses, it is because the masses want and need to be controlled. It’s an excuse to deny personal accountability, cause and effect, as well as a bandage to put on the sufferings of all beings without attempting liberation. I believe this to be true, even though I am religious.
There is no God, you are correct there. Religion is a way to keep people controlled, naive, and stupid. It is a crutch for the delusional that can’t accept reality. Atheism is only connected to Negativity when the religious are trying to scare people into believing them. Remember these people are FAR from intelligent in most cases. Many of them still think The Sun revolves around the Earth and that the Earth is only a few thousand years old. Not to mention the fact they are so stupid they think dinosaur bones were put here A) By god to test our faith, Or B) The devil put them there to trick us. Religion is in fact, the worst thing to happen to mankind ever. And if you don’t think so, you’re part of the problem.
