Is religion just a crutch for people unable to accept their own mortality?
You learn about the creator of our world . While crimes and violence is rising people are bashing down statements which state: You shall not Kill You shall not steal You shall Honor your Mother and Father You shall not commit audultery So many say they can learn these statements without the Ten Commandments but I dont see that happening. I only see crimes and violence rising as we go on. People who follow there religion recognize these statements and think of them as a SIN to commit. And its faith and knowing God is watching you that keeps you from commiting these sins.
Hmmm, Could be, but I resent how so many atheist like to show us as weak and in need of a “Crutch” Many people leave the Christian faith because it is easier to do whatever you want, for all of them, I would submit that atheism is a Crutch for those not strong enough to follow the laws of God. It takes more strength to follow God than to walk your own path. For me, Religion is a guiding set of morals that help me be truly happy on this earth and helps me live the way God wants me to (most of the time anyway) in service of others.
