Is redundant data stored on all servers in the farm?

In the case of 2 and 3 server farms, yes all session data is kept on all servers. For application or web farms with 4 or more servers, the data is automatically distributed across 3 of the servers. As servers are added and removed from the farm the farm automatically redistributes and balances the session state information across the farm on up to 3 servers.
