Is recycling a solution of coal energy pollution?
For the coal ash problem, it is not the end of the story. You think that you are not living close to any coal power plants, neither any wet ponds for dumping, so you are safe. In fact, you are wrong, you are getting close contact with coal ash nearly every day. In order to avoid violation of stockpiling coal ash, these coal power plants are taking the beneficial recycling of coal ash into all sorts of by products, like cement substitute, school carpets, kitchen counters, bowling balls, bathroom sinks, and agricultural products. However, these recycling haven’t the ensured safety from EPA!! Even though EPA knows that mercury, arsenic, lead and other toxic metals are hazardous, but they have no data to say coal ash is unsafe because they don’t do any studies!! So all we can do is wishing God’s blessings, and waiting for EPA to review whether the federal government should get involved by labeling coal ash a dangerous waste with toxicity of materials, and then tighter regulations and overs
