WERF is just starting a cooperative research effort (project no. WERF1C08) to study the fate of PPCP compounds in golf courses that are using reused water. Migration and attenuation through the vegetation, roots and soil will be studied under laboratory and field conditions. Another WERF cooperative study (project no. 06-CTS-1CO) just getting underway is focused on the fate and occurrence of graywater chemical constituents and pathogens in household graywater and their potential impacts on soil and shallow groundwater quality.
