Is Randy Mosses touchdown record legit?
It goes in the record books as the most TDs in one season, but it should definitely have an asterisk next to it. I know this is the era of the *, and that everyone says different records should have them in this era of steroids, illegal videotaping, etc, but to have 4 extra games and only come up with 1 more TD than Rice deserves the *. If anything, the record books should state that Randy had the most in a full season, and a separate record stating that Jerry Rice had 22 in a 12 game season. Separate from the record books, though, Randy’s should not have the same meaning to true fans as Jerry’s did. We know that what Jerry accomplished was a lot harder! P.S. I wish we could know what would have happened that year if the season played the full 16 games. 22 in twelve games? We could have had 26, 27, heck, maybe even 28! Crazy! Jerry Rice rules!
