Yes. The decision to associate this institution with Queen Margaret was made over 30 years ago. In applying for university title it was decided to retain this aspect of our title, given its high recognition by employers, schools, graduates and potential students. Therefore, we asked Privy Council for a change of title to that of Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. The Privy Council agreed to this change.
