Is Quark still in use today for newspaper and magazine page layout?

0

Quark was once the industry standard for page layouts. Many places still use it today including newspaper and magazine companies. In fact, a lot of these places ask for experience in Quark for potential employees. Some printers even still prefer files to be Quark package formats, but will have InDesign as a backup. The introduction of Adobe Creative Suite several years ago, however, has integrated InDesign more closely with the other industry standard software Photoshop and Illustrator, so a lot of places are now making the switch. Because of this integration, InDesign has become more powerful than Quark in general. We’re not completely there yet, but that is where we are headed.
