Is quaker high mileage motor oil any good?
In general, high mileage oil is recommended for cars with over 75k miles. When changing oil, you never get all the oil out. Over time, oil can turn into “sludge” deposits. High mileage oil helps “chip away” at the stone. Also it contains conditioners that helps revitalize the seals and some contain seal max that helps prevent external engine oil “seepage”. Ont hing to remember is that dirty created a gas called nitrous oxide that is a fuel economy killer. The cleaner the oil, the better fuel economy. High mileage oil can only help the cause. Also, auto shops that purchase oil in bulk honestly pay the same price for standard oil and high mile oil but charge more. There is wiggle room to negotiate a discount.
