Is Purr addictive for cats?
No, all the evidence suggests not (both ours and independent research) When we first started making Purr we were giving it to them all the time, but after a while it seemed to have less effect. Worried that it might be addictive and/or resistive, we stopped giving it to them and didn’t observe any indication of a withdrawal symptoms or any distress in any of them. 2 months later we gave them Purr again and they went loopy for it just like before. We have no evidence of any addictive properties of Purr, in fact it seems that the more often they have it the less interested they are. We’ve been giving our cats Purr sporadically for well over 4 years and have not seen any effects longer than the enjoyment of the Purr itself.
