Is pulmicort medication dangerous for children?

0

We had two children with asthma. They both recieved pulmicort. It didn’t seem to have any long term affects. One is 32 with three children, none of which have asthma. The other is 26 and very active with one child. Inhaled steroids do have great results for immediate relief. Always follow the doctors orders when using these or any other medications. Overdoses can have serious effects. Also, after much research, we were able to get our children off the medications with nutrition. If you want more information on diet or other things that we did, please e-mail me at r4yd@comcast.net.

It should be okay, if taken according to perscription. If its the one i’m thinking of, the one perscribed for daily use and with a cortisone product, its used to help control the asthmic constriction in the lungs when the patient is having to use their ventolin inhaler too often. The risks of the frequent attacks requiring ventolin use are thought to be worse than the risks of the pulmicort. Be aware that if the child/teen is in competitive sports that occasionally require drug testing, cortisone-containing products may cause a positive if they’re banned in that sport.
