Is property purchase in Spain a safe investment?
Asurvey by the ABBEY NATIONAL BUILDING SOCIETY showed that while UK house prices in many areas have stagnated, had you bought a property in Spain 10 years ago you would have been laughing – Spanish property prices rose by 150% during this time and are still going up rapidly. Exchange rates are extremely favourable for Britons in Spain at present. Although property prices have escalated dramatically over the last 2 years much of the increase has been off-set (for British buyers with sterling) by the strong pound and weak peseta.
