Is procrastination a habit or part of a mild mental illness symptom?

I found your question interesting. I thought about for awhile. I have a mental illness and at times avoid things. I am also a procrastinator. So I found myself in a dilemma. Do I do one more than the other or are they the same thing. That took me to the dictionary. Here is what I found: avoidance: keep away from, shun, refrain from procrastination: delay action I came to the determination that avoidance behavior is more associated with mental illness and procrastination is a habit behavior that attracts avoidance. I used The New American College Edition Webster Dictionary if you chose to reference.
