Is previous knowledge of legal issues necessary before applying?

0

No, previous legal knowledge is not needed. We do not assume that you are familiar with Chinese law in general or any aspect of it. It is possible that the contents of the different modules appear very wideranging, but the world-class lectures are designed to engage the participant who has no prior knowledge of any issue specified on the program. Taking account of the diversity of students’ disciplinary backgrounds, China International Law School is a program that is designed to be informative to both non-law and law students. Firstly, within the course there are general instruction units for all the most important topics, which, quite apart from being valuable in themselves, especially to those who start with little/no knowledge, will also serve to facilitate entry into the more specialist units of the course; and, secondly, the lectures will be held in a carefully structured way, so that equal access to the subject matter of each of the lectures is assured to all participants.
