Is prenotification required for inpatient hospital admissions?
For ALL PLANS, prenotification is only required for admissions to hospitals which are out of state or out of network. Call Customer Service toll free at 1-800-482-8416 for assistance with prenotification. All Health Advantage members must have preauthorization for services (except for emergency admissions) to be paid at the higher benefit level in out-of-state or out-of-network facilities.
