Is pre-calculus hard?

Pre-Calculus contains a little bit of everything (algebra 1 & 2, geometry, and trigonometry). A lot of geometry problems (excluding proofs) involve solving algebraic expressions, so I’m guessing that you had a better teacher for geometry than algebra. To give you an idea of what is covered, here is the outline of what is covered in one of my pre-calc textbooks: Ch1: Algebraic Expressions Ch2: Equations and Inequalities Ch3: Relations, Functions, and Graphs Ch4: Polynomial and Rational Functions Ch5: Exponential and Logarithmic Functions Ch6: Trigonometric Functions Ch7: Trigonometric Identities and Functions Ch8: Applications of Trigonometry Ch9: Systems of Equations and Inequalities (Linear Algebra) Ch10: Analytic Geometry (Conic Sections) Ch11: Further Topics in Algebra You might also cover limits and sequences. So as you can see, the bulk of the course is algebra and trigonometry. Calculus is the same way; it requires a strong background in algebra and trigonometry.
