Is PPE at Oxford harder than History neccssarily?

It’s not so much that PPEists have it harder, but more that they have a greater work load. I read history at Oxford and one of my close friends read PPE. She had twice as many lectures to attend as I did and had to produce on average 2 essays a week whilst I only had to write 1. Her workload was therefore greater than mine. However, my work was expected to be a lot more in depth than hers and there was a much greater emphasis on self study for me. It was all a bit swings and roundabouts and so I wouldn’t say that one subject was particularly harder than the other.
