1. Degrading for the prestigious pageant itself. It’s only now that Ms. Universe pageant got a lot of critics. You won’t even ask your question if it really didn’t matter. The pageant should respect the cultures of other countries, in this aspect, it may have an effect on the decision of even one judge to the outcome of the pageant in terms of: a) a very rich man in a particular country may have influenced a judge to have a meet-up with the very “liberated” candidates for some hidden reasons. b) it not a fair game for other candidates with a more conservative culture. the pageant have tolerated some candidates to go the extra mile in saleable issues which may affect the criteria for judging.
