Is Portugal a funny province of the Kingdom of Spain?
PORTUGAL was created by the son of a french Knight from the House of Burgundy in 1139, 869 YEARS AGO, when “spain” didn’t even exist. Spain was only formed in 1492, so PORTUGAL is more than 350 years OLDER than Spain. PORTUGAL was an absolute pioneer in exploring and sailing unkown seas and lands, 100 years BEFORE any other european country. In its heyday had a much BIGGER Empire than Spain, that stretched from Africa to Brazil, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Korea and Japan. PORTUGAL discovered and controlled the most valuable and important trade route in the History of Mankind, the Sea Route from Europe to Asia, from 1488 to the late 1600’s, almost 200 years. The portuguese were the first europeans in hundreds of new lands and countries, including Central and South Africa, South America, ALL islands in the South Atlantic, several cities and harbours in China, Tibet, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietname, Cambodja, Burma, ALL islands in the Indian Ocean, China Sea and Sea of Japan, Korea
