Is polypropylene environmentally friendly?
Polypropylene is made from carbon and hydrogen, manufactured without any dangerous emissions. It can be recycled, incinerated or used in landfill without any harm to the environment. When burnt it will only give off water vapour and carbon dioxide. Polypropylene is resistant to water and most oils, greases and chemicals. It is extremely hard wearing and very tear resistant. Polypropylene satisfies the four requriements of the EC environment commission.
