Is playing off of dinosaurs and Sleestaks a different sort of acting challenge than you’re used to?
Yeah, it’s completely different. I haven’t really worked on an action/adventure/comedy before. There’s a lot of visual effects and huge sets. This is not the kind of movie that’s being made much anymore. But I’m loving every second of it. We seem to be changing locations every three days and so I’m constantly being faced with a new set of acting challenges. With so many other members of the cast providing the comedy elements in the film, have you found yourself playing more of the straight man? At times. But we all kind of trade off when it comes to the comedy. Rick Marshall is sort of a fun character for me because he’s sort of the take charge guy of the group and that’s a role I really haven’t been able to play before. Most of the time my character seems to know what he’s talking about. But there is kind of this running joke where people ask me ‘Don’t you ever get tired of being wrong?’ and that’s because he always seems to be just the slightest bit off in his guesses. But other time
