When you exchange Pilkington Optifloat™ for Pilkington Optiwhite™ it increases IGU light transmission by 2% and IGU solar gain by 6%. So Pilkington energiKare™ is entirely appropriate in domestic windows, doors / patio doors, roof-lights, conservatory verticals and replacement units, and beneficial in most areas except those sensitive to overheating. Where overheating is a possibility then tinted or solar control products should be used in any case, not Pilkington Optifloat™. Such products include; Pilkington Optifloat™ Tint, Pilkington Activ™ Blue or Neutral, Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™, Pilkington Suncool™ and Pilkington Activ Suncool™.
