Is Phytophthora kernoviae involved?

0

There have been no findings of P. kernoviae in any of the newly identified hosts of P. ramorum (i.e. Japanese larch, western hemlock, Douglas fir or birch). Although both pathogens are members of the Phytophthora genus, P. ramorum and P. kernoviae are only distantly related. It does not automatically follow that a host of one will be a host to the other.
