Is physical intimacy important?
Very much of high importance. There have been studies in people’s brains where they only have communication via computer, internet, telephone, etc… and no physical communication. It showed that the brain actually started to atrophy. Human contact – interaction and physical touching or intimacy is important because is not only just makes you feel good, it does your body good too!! It releases hormones and chemicals that make you happy, it keeps people connected in relationships (sexual or not), and it gives you feelings of security and comfort.
