Is phone tapping illegal?
It depends on the laws of your state and/or country. There is nothing wrong with tapping your own phone ie: you suspect your spouse of cheating and want to hear conversations. In some jurisdictions as the incoming phone party in a conversation allows the tapping, it’s ok. So, whoever phones them, beware. Then when a judge signs the appropriate legal documents to the police, their wire tap is now legal.
