Is philosophy is free of value of judgment?

0

Philosophy should never be free of value judgments. Ethics all about values. Metaphysics is about the value of what is important and what is not. For example, “Suffering as such is not a value; only man’s fight against suffering, is,” wrote Ayn Rand. If metaphysics and ethics and the principles of epistemology had no “values” to make judgments upon, then all philosophical systems would be equal in value to the way we use them. Obviously they are not all equal in value or Platonic Christianity would not have led us to the Dark Ages and Aristotelian Christianity would not have led us out.
