Is personal data stored on the RFID tags?
To be explicit, absolutely not! Personal data may only be stored on the RFID tags under certain conditions. Going by the “Bundesdatenschutzgesetz” (BDSG), a German law for personal data protection, personal information could only be stored if, for example, the client would explicitly agree to doing so. On payment of goods, the paper tags with the transponder can either be removed or deactivated at the cash desk, although no personal data will be stored on tags of members of fashionGroup RFID.
