Is Perception Really Reality?

0

September 1, 2005 We made it through August and only 1 month to go until we start our preseason schedule. October is coming fast. October seems far away, but the calendar says 6 weeks until our first game?!! SIX WEEKS?? We have so much to do and so many challenges to take on in 6 weeks. One of the biggest challenges is teaching our dancers about the perceptions and myths that go along with being a pro dancer and how to demonstrate to our fans that those myths are not reality! One common myth is that dancers have a maximum weight limit-we have no weight limit. Dancers must be able to fit in and look great in our dance team costumes, most of which have the same amount of coverage as a bikini. So the key is being in great shape and having confidence. Whether a dancer is a size 0 or a size 8-if she can look great in our costumes and carries herself with a ton of confidence, she will represent the Timberwolves very well. We have fitness checks and assessments, a trainer to help the dancers
