No. In fact, it can produce better quality of antigen preservation if we combine microwave fixation and microwave histoprocessing. You will also see a number of situations where the antibody dilutions need to be increased due to improved sensitivity. This is a result of reduced exposure to the adverse antigen effects of prolonged exposure to formalin, and the dehydrating clearing process associated with the longer conventional method of histoprocessing.
