Is pasta a masculine or feminine noun?

0

Pasta is a feminine noun. Usually words ending in -a are feminine. Historically this basis comes from the Latin feminine noun declension. I should add that I studied Latin, not Italian, although enough of the original framework of Latin remains in most European Languages, and especially Italian, for me to make an educated guess. However, if a fluent Italian speaker gives a different answer to mine, then take their word over mine!
