Is participation in EX TM by departments mandatory?
The 2008 Public Service Renewal (PSR) Action Plan requested that Deputy Heads build on the ADM Talent Management exercise and expand talent management to their entire executive cadre by March 2009. Departments may choose to use the tools offered by the Canada Public Service Agency for EX levels 1 to 3 or may develop their own approach. However, departments will be expected to use the tools for ADMs (EX 04s and 05s) who are collectively managed.
