Is pain medicine really addictive?

In general, if you have a few pills left over from a prescription you are not going to get addicted, and yes, you will have a nice nap. The problem is the escape mentality. Boredom is very dangerous, and it’s really easy to “nap”, get a bit of a “buzz” and in general avoid laundry duties. My advice is to either eat them and have a nice nap, or throw them away. Then you have to resist the temptation to acquire more. You seriously need to find an activity that takes you away from boredom and household chores. It’s not a physical addiction danger with a couple of pills, it’s a mental addiction. Best of luck, K.
