Is over-population the cause of Californias woes?
Yes, over population is the main cause. I was born and raised in Northern CA. I have seen in my 30 year lifetime, one lane roads turn into 4 lane freeways. Fields where I used to catch frogs, turn into huge apartment complexes. The “backroads” I used to take as short cuts, are now full of stoplights and construction zones. The Sacramento valley is changing very quickly, and not in a good way. There are SO MANY PEOPLE everywhere, you can’t find anywhere to get peace and quiet. I was at the river this summer and there were so many people at our old spot that we finally left. I am ready to move out of here, not because I have any ill feelings towards CA, I’m just very disappointed with what it has turned into. And it’s only going to get worse. The CA dream is turning into a financial nightmare for many middle class families who are from here! I am one of them. Sadly, I think we have no choice but to leave.
