Is ovarian or uterine cancer more deadly than cervical cancer?
All cancers are potentially deadly, but . . . Cervical cancer is very treatable IF it is caught in the early stages by routine screening (i.e., a yearly Pap smear). Ovarian cancer is often asymptomatic until the very late stages. There are no screening tests for this type of cancer, and the prognosis is very poor. Uterine cancer is kind of in the middle. As with ovarian cancers, there are no reliable screening tests, but symptoms may allow the disease to be caught earlier than ovarian cancer.
