Is ovarian cancer hard to find in its early stages?

0

Ovarian Cancer, well ANY cancer is very rare in a 23 year old. Ovarian cancer is mostly seen in women over the age of 50. The symptoms you describe are very non-specific and could simply be PMS or even IBS (or a combination). If the TV scan showed no mass and no enlargement of the ovary, it’s highly unlikely that you have anything there. Understand that no medical test is 100% You could ask your GP for a blood test to detect a protein called CA-125. But this test is by no means definitive. The problem is, I suspect this is all anxiety related, even if you do have more tests, what will it be next? What happens next month when you get a headache and you worry you have a brain tumour? You need to nip this in the bud now. You are young fit and healthy, the chances of cancer are minuscule.
