Is our unit required to submit a quarterly status report every quarter? What if all of the legislative audit findings are corrected?
Your unit is required to submit a quarterly status report every quarter even if your unit has reported that the statuses to the legislative audit findings are complete. Our process of monitoring your legislative audit findings is on going. The purpose of this requirement is for your administration to continue to assess the status of implementation of each item until the legislative auditors return to evaluate your progress. Many times units report items as complete, but as time passes, they go back to doing the same thing they were doing before the legislative audit. Exceptions to this requirement are: • If your unit is undergoing a legislative audit; and, • the legislative audit report is not finalized, or, • If your legislative audit report has no exceptions.
