Is Osteo-Bi-Flex Safe?
In Europe, both Glucosamine and Chondroitin have been used for almost 20 years without significant adverse effects. Products containing Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate or their combinations have been marketed with a safe history of use as nutritional supplements in the United States for many years, but a shorter period of time than in Europe. They have been used safely in the United States as they have been in Europe for more than 20 years. Both Glucosamine and Chondroitin are derived from natural sources. No drug interactions or disease state interactions have been reported for either Glucosamine or Chondroitin Sulfate. More than 15 trials of Osteo-Bi-Flex have been conducted and the authors of these studies concluded that the compounds are safe and have some efficacy in treating osteoarthritis symptoms.
