A – One annual fee is charged for those products only if they have been consolidated under one DIN. If the flavour/fragrance/colour variants are reflected in the registered product names, the products must be assigned separate DINs4 and are therefore subject to separate annual fees. If a fee reduction is requested for a line of products differing only with respect to flavour, fragrance or colour and all the products carry the same DIN, the fee reduction attestation form must report the wholesale sales revenue for all the flavour/fragrance/colour variants. The DIN would qualify for a fee reduction if the total sales for all variants is below $20,000.
