Is online banking & shopping safe?
If I had a dollar for every time that I was asked this question, I would be retired by now. To answer the question, once again, you must look at the security of your computer. If your computer system is not secure, or infected with Spyware, then obviously online banking and shopping will not be secure. If your computer system is secure and you check that the browser is using a secure connection, then online shopping and banking are safe! Always check that your browsers padlock, in the lower left corner, is displayed in a locked position prior to entering any confidential information. Additionally, check that the address bar starts out with https not just http. The s adds security in the form of end to end encryption.
