Is olive oil safe 2 use on babies head for cradle crap ?

I used organic olive oil on my son’s cradle cap. I had left his cradle cap alone for several months since he was born (he had thick hair so it was easy to hide), hoping it would go away. But at his first haircut (8 months old) the hairdresser pointed out that it was so thick, flaky, and oily that it would eventually cause some of his hair to fall out. I searched the web carefully and finally decided olive oil was the best thing to use. I gently slathered his head with oilive oil and let it sit for about fifteen minutes. I then GENTLY combed his scalp and huge flakes came off. Then I washed his hair twice. I did the olive oil treatment again the next day to get the remaining flakes and it worked like a charm. Just be very gentle when combing out the flakes as I found the skin under the flakes was kind of sensitive, like new skin. I never had to do it again, the flakes were GONE. Just be very gentle with the comb, no matter what kind of oil you end up using.
