Is obesity in people caused by bovine growth hormones injected in animals?

That may be one of many causes for obesity. People try to simplify it but obesity is not that simple. Of course taking in more calories than one burns by eating too much and not excercising enough is a major cause of obesity but there are others. You mentioned the bovine growth hormones but medications and heredity can make a difference too. There are conditions that are inherited that make it extremely difficult for one to lose weight to the point of near impossibility. Some medications have a side affect of weight gain. Stress, anxiety, and other emotions, have been believed to cause obesity in people because of the celebretory meals that are taken during such events. The bovine growth hormone is injected into cattle to make them grow faster and bigger so they can go to market faster thus making more money for the rancher. It, like most things today, is all about money.
