Is Obasanjo the son of an Igbo Man?
LAST WORD by Sam Nda-Isaiah Olusegun Igbochukwu Obasanjo I was still trying to recover from the jetlag of my trip from South Africa yesterday morning when my friend, a top member of the board of directors of The Nation Newspapers, interrupted my sweet sleep. Feeling smug and happy with himself, he told me that The Nation had beaten Leadership to an exclusive. “What is it”? I asked him with croaky voice. He laughed and simply told me to go and get a copy of the day’s The Nation. I did at about noon of that day. And I saw the mischief on page one, every newspaper’s most important page. The paper has two identical photographs on the front page staring the reader. On the right is a familiar photograph of OO, Zero Zero if you like, and on the left is an old black-and-white photograph of OO’s look-alike.
