Is oatmeal gluten free?

0

When they’re growing in the field, oats are gluten free. Then they are harvested and sent to a factory. Most factories which process oats also process other grains, such as wheat. Oats processed in the same factory as other gluten-containing grains get contaminated and are therefore no longer gluten free. Oats certified as gluten free have been processed in factories which do not process grains that contain gluten.
