Is NYLT complete after camp?
No, NYLT is a three-part program. Phase 1 is the Scouts life experience and Scout skills practice necessary to become a First Class Scout. Phase 2 is the course week. Phase 3 is begins by each scout applying the leadership skills in his home troop after he completes the course. Each participant leaves camp with a ticket of goals and plans to achieve in his home troop or community. The home Troop Scoutmaster approves the completion of these challenges by e-mailing a short note to info@nfcnylt.org stating that the Scout has completed his ‘ticket’ and demonstrated leadership by applying the NYLT skills.
