Is NYEX a member of some other (upper-level) associations, networks, nodes, organizations?

Not, NYEX is completely independent. The network works closely with the UNESCO World Academy of Young Scientists (www.waysnet.org) to establish contacts with other young scientists working as university undergraduates, Ph.D. students or postdoctoral fellows world-wide. Besides UNESCO we receive funding from the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS, www.febs.org) and the NYEX conference in October 2004 was sponsored by the Science and Society Program of NATO (www.nato.int/science). NYEX is politically neutral, and has no intention whatsoever to be involved in any political affairs locally or internationally.
