Is Nutro Ultra puppy food really better than Beneful?
If you can get off the Nutro Ultra as well, do. To upgrade it shouldn’t be too much more than the Ultra that you are getting now – I think Nutro Ultra runs 42.99 for a large bag. For about 7.00 more you could upgrade to Canidae (all life stages including puppy food – 44 lb bag 47.99 to 51.99 at pet food store), or Innova, Merrick (large bag) that would be better for him than the Nutro. You were doing the right thing feeding the Nutro Ultra as it does’nt have corn, wheat, or soy in it – things that can cause issues/allergies/loose stool down the road. Don’t feed the Beneful as it has Corn,Wheat and Soy as well as artificial colors and chemical preservatives – it is not good for your pup. I am not happy with Nutro because of personal experience recently and what I have read online about possible issues with Nutro products that seemed to crop up once they were bought out by the people who make Pedigree. For years – I fed Nutro Natural Choice – and had no complaints- I even recommended it
