I would recommend that you look into a product called Pozzolan. This is an all natural soil amendment that will really help your lawn! Pozzolan is extremely porous and absorbant, it will absorb and store water and nutrients in the soil at the root zone, keeping them available to the plant longer thus reducing the amount of water that you will need to keep the grass healthy. Pozzolan will also help to break up or loosen the soil so that the roots have room to “breath”. Plants need a mixture of soil, water and air near the roots to grow healthy. In the Middle east they are using Pozzolan (they call it “Aqua-Feed) to grow grass in the desert! Best of all, it only requires a ONE TIME application. It will not wash away or migrate out of the soil. Good luck!
