Is Noughts and Crosses appropriate for my 13-year-old daughter?

The book is considered a Young Adult novel. The Young Adult denotaion means 14-20something crowd. It’s considered high school. Now some YA books are ment for 12-20something, but I know this book. Acutally I purchased it for my middle school students, but I did so on the reviews that I had read. The reviews leave out the slightly contraversial parts! As a teacher, I couldn’t put this book out for my students, because of the language. Many “F” words, some other foul words and some parts that are not really middle school level. I wouldn’t mind some of my higher level students reading this with their parent’s permission, but I just can’t put it out in my classroom. I talked to the librarian, and she said that she couldn’t put it out because of the large amount of foul language in the book, but it is out for the high school students. I’m not saying this isn’t a good book, as a matter of fact, I think it is a great book. I just have a problem with putting “R” rated language out for kids who
